Program Description
An MBA in Management Information Systems (MIS) aims to blend essential business management skills with a deep understanding of technology and data management. The program is designed to equip students with the ability to integrate business and technology, plan strategically, analyze and manage data, handle risks, and lead in a technology-driven business world. This MBA helps professionals navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the intersection of business and technology. Students will also develop key leadership, communication, and adaptability skills while understanding ethical, legal, and global business issues.
The MBA in MIS requires completion of 6 core courses and 6 specialization courses, totaling 12 courses, with a non-credit graduation project for degree eligibility.

Educational Methods
The Faculty of Business and Economics uses a variety of modern teaching methods to support educational objectives. Traditional classroom attendance is essential, and at least 75% attendance is expected. In addition to traditional methods, the faculty integrates problem-solving sessions, group work, and practical exercises to enhance learning. Group work includes discussions of case studies under instructor supervision. Course projects encourage students to apply techniques and tools learned to solve specific problems, culminating in a report and/or presentation.
The faculty also uses Moodle, a web-based distance learning system, which supports course materials, assignments, and discussions, providing students with an interactive platform for learning. Typical features of Moodle include assignment submission, discussion forums, quizzes, grading, and more, fostering active engagement outside the classroom.
Graduation Requirements
A graduate student is eligible for graduation if they:
- Successfully complete all required courses, laboratory studies, reports, and practical assignments.
- Accumulate the necessary credit hours and maintain a CGPA of 3.00 or above, with no grades below C.
- Receive graduation approval from the University Senate upon faculty recommendation.
- Diplomas are issued by the Registrar’s Office, specifying the program, graduation date, and degree awarded.
